Allyne Moon, RVT—President
Allyne has been practicing since 1992. She works at an open-admission government animal shelter in Southern California. Allyne has a background in Veterinary Forensics and uses her training to help prosecute animal neglect and cruelty crimes. She is an Expert Witness for the State of California and is a past VMB Hospital Inspector. In addition to her work with CaRVTA, she also chairs the Para-Professional Chapter of the SCVMA. |

Sue Brodbeck, RVT—Vice-President
Sue's career began many years ago at a general practice in Redwood City, CA. She attended a vocational trade school in Milpitas, Ca and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 1977. She spent 10 years in practice encompassing all aspects and responsibilities. She worked in a boarding/training facility in San Carlos, CA supervising the care of a 150-dog beagle colony who were taught to detect termites and dry-rot in addition to training police dogs for service. Sue changed focus in 1984 and took a job in the veterinary industry working for Central City Medical (currently Butler Schein Animal Health), where she has been employed for the past 28 years. In 1989, she started the Central Coast Registered Veterinary Technicians' Association and has been organizing local CE opportunities for students and technicians ever since. She currently lives on the San Francisco Peninsula. |

Jayne Camic, RVT—Secretary
Jayne worked in a small animal clinical settings for 15 years. She worked in all departments of a veterinary hospital from the San Fernando Valley to Lake Tahoe and finally settled in Monterey County, where she currently lives. She entered the industry side of veterinary medicine in 1993 and works as a distributor sales rep for Butler Schein Animal Health. She enjoys educating veterinary professionals and was a key player in forming the Silicon Valley RVT Association in 2005. She is currently the SVRVTA's president, in addition to her CaRVTA board activities. |

Nancy Ehrlich, RVT—Treasurer, Regulatory/Legislative Liason
Nancy worked in a general practice and a dental specialty practice as an RVT/Practice manager from 1969-2005. From 2006-2007, she was a part-time instructor in Veterinary Dentistry at Foothill College. Since 1994, she has been the owner/manager of
DentaLabels, a company that distributes veterinary dental charts. Nancy also served as a member of the Veterinary Medical Board RVT Committee from 1998-2007, a CVMA RVT Committee Chair from 1991-1994, and a Wild West Veterinary Conference Technician Program Chair from 1991-1997. She founded and served as a Board Member for the Bay Area Veterinary Technicians Association from 1976-1998. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

David Liss, BA, RVT, VTS (ECC, SAIM)—Director
David started his career many years ago in general practice. He quickly fell in love with emergency medicine and worked for close to 8 years in after hours emergency clinics. Yearning for more, David began to work in a 24-hour specialty referral facility and quickly became the Technician Supervisor. He moved on to manage the ER and ICU departments at another referral facility in Los Angeles. After winning the IVECCS Best Case Report Award in 2009 and obtaining his VTS in emergency and critical care in 2010, David began speaking at national conferences. He has since spoken at some of the largest conferences in the country. David loves to teach and regularly teaches CE class on the Veterinary Support Personnel network. He has also authored articles for Vet Tech and NAVTA magazine and recently authored three chapters in an upcoming book on emergency and critical care nursing. He currently serves as the Program Director for the veterinary technology program at Platt College in Los Angeles. |

Jamie Holms, RVT, CPT1—Director
Jamie has worked in the veterinary field since 1998 and has experience
in large and small animal medicine, shelter medicine, exotics, and wildlife,
and behavior, emergency and critical care. She is currently involved in
emergency, triage, critical care, and technician student mentorship at
Adobe Animal Hospital in Los Altos. Her special interests are emergency
medicine and compassion fatigue support and awareness.

Jeffrey Backus, RVT—Director
Jeffrey started as a veterinary assistant in general practice in 1995. He began working at an overnight ER in 2004 and fell in love with his job. He became a RVT in 2009 and now works in emergency and critical care. Jeffrey also now teaches part time
at his alma mater, Professional Veterinary Assistant School, and is a Program Advisory Committee member for Platt College, Alhambra. He is currently in the application process for the 2013 VTS(ECC) exam. Jeffrey is a frequent CE presenter and lecturer.
